Ed, They must have been generated when I inserted a USB flash drive and ran usbimg2disk.sh to copy the Slackware-14.2 boot image (usbboot.img) to the device. > ps -Af --forest will give a tree view > htop another ncurses process finder with tree view and lots of info I missed seeing those options when I read the man page.
