I live in Longview/Kelso area, though nearer than Missouri, at times seems not much, but I can find people in this town that have a old router and would be happy to get rid of the thing.
You probably have a local computer fixeruper or two, find them and hit them up for a old swap out router, they probably have a stack of them they would be glad to part with. If you get into playing with them, you can put replacement OS' on them and bring new life back to them. I have one I am going to try to put WeeWX on and let it talk to a weather station AND do some routing (it is kinda lazy and needs some work to do, I am trying to teach it IPv6, it jumps through the hoop but hooks a foot on it pulling the hoop down too) Anyhow even out in the more rural areas finding an older router.
