I installed Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit onto a 500 GB drive, and would like to migrate
the entire installation to a larger drive. Some characteristics are:
fstab:# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>
<pass>/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root /               ext4    errors=remount-ro 0
    1# /boot was on /dev/sda1 during
installationUUID=06f0eb83-58c9-4a64-adf1-39a7393ad35d /boot           ext2
defaults        0       2/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-swap_1 none            swap
sw              0       0
lvs: root   ubuntu-vg -wi-ao---- 459.48g
              swap_1 ubuntu-vg -wi-ao----   6.00g
[Perhaps swap should be bigger: I now have 32GB of RAM]
pvs:PV         VG        Fmt  Attr PSize   PFree   /dev/sda5  ubuntu-vg lvm2
a--  465.52g 48.00m
df:Filesystem                  1K-blocks     Used Available Use% Mounted onudev
                        16366760        0  16366760   0% /devtmpfs
           3284360    10116   3274244   1% /run/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root
474105008 93520748 356478072  21% /tmpfs                        16421784
59096  16362688   1% /dev/shmtmpfs                            5120        4
 5116   1% /run/locktmpfs                        16421784        0  16421784
0% /sys/fs/cgroup/dev/sda1                      240972   115522    113009  51%
/boottmpfs                         3284360       60   3284300   1%
/run/user/1000
Anyhow I'm wondering if there is a reasonably simple way to do this, or if
someone can provide me with a link to one. I have this installation cloned, so
a mistake will not be disastrous.
