Hello

I know my title is a bit odd. Below are the details and I may not be
titling this email
appropriately.

I am task to make a product that involves having a linux box that sits at
customer sites.
The linux box has sporadic internet access (I can get in if I need to but
access is towards minimal).
As much as possible, I like the box to be able to recover on its own
whenever it hits any potential issue. I will try to button up the
application level.

I know Linux is very resilient and uptime is very good. However, I like
the box to be
mostly self-sufficient or call home if it is truly stuck (before it gets
too stuck).

I am asking everyone -- if I want a very reliable Linux setup such as what
I described above, what are some of the considerations I should be thinking
about?

Any tip much appreciated! Thanks

-v
