Paul, There is a SlackBuilds.org package for it. Thanks for the pointer. > screen (and tmux) work just as well locally as they do on remote systems. I'm sure. But I don't yet know how to use it. Regardless, somehow when I moved the mouse off the top of the screen it closed that v.t. and set all other Xfce4 virtual desktops constantly opening new v.t.s and browsers. It was out of control; I could not stop them. Even killing the X Window system, logging out, and back in didn't stop this behavior. Never before experienced it. So, I got a console and rebooted the system. Lost about 18 hours of model run time, but the laptop is once again stable. I'll learn reptyr and have it installed on all hosts. Much appreciated, Rich _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
