Use ZFS and get rid of your hardware RAID card. They don’t detect the errors 
that ZFS will detect (and correct for potentially). Some say its cheaper, you 
probably pay the same amount, but differently (no RAID card, but more memory). 
Performance will very likely be higher too, because of ZFS caching.
