I shall do so. It is Ubuntu Mate 16.04, but I am running Compiz on the
desktop.
The machine is a Thinkpad X-301. I am suspecting that it has something to do
with going to the login as if the screen goes dark for a short time I can
touch a
key or the pointing device and it will wake back up just fine, but if it
times to the
point it is going to ask for a login I am believing that is where the issue
is, or it
is near by.
