Tom, First I need to figure out what search path is being used. My current approach is building 2.6.17 on the 32-bit Dell Latitude 2100, re-directing stdout and stderr to the build.log file. Then I'll run 'diff -y <good-file> <failed-file>' and see where they differ. This should tell me what's different between a system that upgraded from 14.1 to 14.2 and a system with 14.2 installed on a new disk. Thanks, Rich _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
