I have been using Ubuntu-Mate now for several years because Compiz is quite easy to install with it. Indeed it was one of the available desktops, but with 20.04 they made it available as a download option.
By the way, the word Mate carries the accent on the first syllable not the last. It should be Maate (e is a short a). Back to Mate solutions, I am going to have to take a look at Fedora Mate Compiz spin. I really like my Compiz screens. I have a batch of kids that are learning amateur radio, they really like the cube... (I am going to get the hung on linux too) On Sun, Aug 7, 2022 at 12:19 PM John Jason Jordan <[email protected]> wrote: > On Sun, 7 Aug 2022 00:57:21 -0700 > Seth Alford <[email protected]> dijo: > > >Fedora has a MATE-Compiz spin that I have been using for a while. > > > >See https://spins.fedoraproject.org/mate-compiz/download/index.html > > > >You can download a live image that you can test run without writing it > >to a hard drive. > > For several years I used Fedora, but eventually gave up on it because > of the six month forced dist-upgrades.
