I've not used my laptop in a long time and today I saw the gkrellm time
display is 2 minutes slow compared to my watch and the always-on desktop.

On slackware the ntpd controlling script is /etc/rc.d/rc.ntpd and it has a
restart capabilty. But when root commanded `rc.ntpd restart' the system told
me that I didn't have permission to do this. Since the file is owned by root
and has 755 perms I'm puzzled why the command didn't work.

Thoughts?
