Thanks to Carlo I set printable=no in the share section of my cdrom drive
in /etc/smb.conf and it is not anymore detected as a printer.  I can now
browse my cdrom drive through samba. I originally said yes to the printable
section thinking that if it is enabled, files under the sahred directory
can be printed. I now realize it does not make sense that a shared
directory needs to be "printable" for users to be able to print files under
that directory. They only need that that directory is readable.  Just one
of those days, I guess.
