re: the linux2k conference:

1. those of you who haven't registered yet, what are you waiting for?!
we're giving 10% and 50% discounts on full delegates and per-session
delegates respectively!!! head on to www.linux.org.ph
... and hurry, discounts are good until sept 20, 2000 only.
2. we're gonna be giving/selling little stuffed pengiuns (tux) on the said
conference. it'll be like the ones oracle gave out during linux99, only more
cute :) we plan to have tux wear a t-shirt this time. we need suggestions on
linux/open source tag lines to print on tux's shirt.
e.g. "no windows, no gates - it's open, no bill - it's free"
3. we need a speaker for the hands-on tutorial "securing your linux system":
3.1 it's going to be on oct. 4, 2000 2:15pm to 3:30pm
and continued at 3:45pm to 5:00pm
3.2 participants will have their own linux boxes,
so we'll need some hands-on activites.
3.3 the speaker will get: a plaque, a certificate, 2 free full delegate
conference tickets, 1 tux stuffed pengiun, and,
if we meet the quota, a modest stipend.
