yes. this is possible. since you're using sendmail, it would be best to
redirect you to the sendmail FAQ... Section 3 answers some of the items
then tells you to look up the section on Masquerading and Relaying answers
your question in detail. see

and no i won't try to convince you to switch MTAs because i assume you've
thought that one out already.
