I remember Doc Mana saying in one post that he wasn't sure if Linus Torvalds had
published any scientific papers. Well, since I am in England right now (what am I
doing in England, do you ask? Well, I'm taking my MSc in Health Information Science at
the University of Warwick, hehehe), and have access to a lot of citation databases, I
decided to do a search and see if indeed, Linus published any scientific papers.. here
are the results:

Beberg AL, Berger B, Blundin D, et al.
     Software
     TECHNOL REV 102: (6) 74-+ NOV-DEC 1999

    Torvalds L
     Linux goals - Response
     COMMUN ACM 42: (8) 14-15 AUG 1999

    Torvalds L
     The Linux edge
     COMMUN ACM 42: (4) 38-39 APR 1999

So you can see that Linus has published at least 3 papers, 2 of which he is the
primary author, and those were both on Linux.

Commun ACM is "Communications of the Association of Computing Machinery".
