Assuming you've put your web page in ~/public_html/ - or wherever it's
supposed to be on your machine - check that both ~ and ~/public_html/ are
world-executable. (Do they have to be world-readable too?) Check that your
index.html (or index.htm) is world-readable and world-writable.
