not only interface stats you could get (as what previous post wants) but a lot more
like cpu utilization, memory utilization, disk utilization, network stats (like
tcp, udp, icmp) etc. and also it is an extensible snmp, meaning you can create your
own script (to parse some information in your system that default info snmp dont
have) and attach in to it.
snmp + mrtg is your best monitoring tool for your system.
