1.) This will display all carlo* users connected to ur ftp server.
ps ax | grep ftpd | grep -v grep | grep carlo
2.) Ang importante dito ay, you know the exact username
Dapat alam mo yung exact username.
Say you want to kill carlo357 dahil masyadong grabeng magdowload. :-)
kill -9 `ps ax | grep ftpd | grep -v grep|grep -w carlo357 | awk '{print$1}'
Why did I include -w?
It's because, baka meron pa rin mga username na carlo3571, carlo3572, and so on.
The -w is a whole word match
