hi warly,
the error message sort of explains it.
try setting file perms of /var/spool/mail to 1777, i.e.:
# ls -ld /var/spool/mail
# chmod 1777 /var/spool/mail
# ls -ld /var/spool/mail
just curious, what was it set to before?
