Hi,

I have a Plextor 8/4/32 EIDE CDRW, and it works like a charm under 
Linux.  I bought it early this year, and before I did, I looked at online
reviews on CDRW, and Plextor had the best rating on combined usability,
compatibility, durability, support, and price.
