particularly in forwarding...

here goes...

sample scenario

primary account is prime1 (home dir is /home/www/prime1)
ownership is prime1.www

supplementary accounts are supp1prime supp2prime & supp3prime. (home dirs are
/home/www/prime1/supp/supp1prime
    /home/www/prime1/supp/supp2prime
    /home/www/prime1/supp/supp3prime

ownership is set at prime1.www

I created a .forward file under the home dir of supp1prime that has this line...

supp1prime, [EMAIL PROTECTED]

so that any incoming mail bound to supp1prime can also be forwarded to the mail inbox
of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Take note that all accounts (including the 3
supplementaries are within the same linux box and having the same domain)

Now, i am sending an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] As soon as i checked the
maillog onm my other mailserver where the otherhost.com domain and accounts reside, i
see this error message...

 ---forward /home/www/prime1/suppl/supp1prime/.forward.www: Group writable directory
Nov 17 09:08:37 www sendmail[28991]: JAA28990: forward
/home/www/prime1/suppl/supp1prime/.forward: Group writable directory
Nov 17 09:08:37 www sendmail[28991]: JAA28990: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
ctladdr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (500/500), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local,
stat=Sent
----

Can somebody advise me on how to go on with this forwarding error.

Thanks,

zeejval
