something related, xfree86 4.0 that comes out of rh7 cant seem to detect
s3trio3d/2x cards right out of the box. it gives out a resolution of only
300x200 i think. it irks me greatly. i got it to work by installing rh6.2
first, then upgrading the box to 7.0. however, once i run xf86config, the
darned xwindow system stops working..and i had to do it all over again.
kaasar.
i know there's a solution there somewhere, but i'm just too lazy to go out
hunting for it. anyone solved this already?
