And may i add that sendmail is a real pain to configure, as compared to
postfix, which has probably the richest configuration options of all MTAs.
Native support for LDAP, DB, file/regexp, and MySQL lookups, and built in
hooks for header and body checks, to filter out email viruses in
attachments.
Sendmail is faster than postfix? Obviously you've not deployed it in a
very busy mail delivery environment. Sendmail with its monlithic
humongously resource hungry design will use up all your system resources
way before postfix will.
Sheesh, comments like "sendmail is faster then postfix" is going to start
another holy war, of which sendmail is SURE TO LOOSE.
