Here are the server specs for WWW.ALUMNI.NET (300000 unique users per day
IIRC, >1M page views, every page hit produces c.a. 10-25 SQL queries off
Oracle8):
PIII-700
512MB
20GB IDE hard disk
There's a SQUID http accelerator in front of httpd, I think 35 maximum
httpd's can run (each one eats about 14MB thanks to mod_perl and the
Oracle8 OCI client).
