it should be similar (but not exactly the same) to this

mark@noc:~$ route
Kernel IP routing table

loopback     *               255.0.0.0       U     0      0     0 lo

another thing, there is no point adding a route for loopback. It is
automatically done at boot time (via /etc/rc/d/rc.inet1 in slackware) .
The only thing I see adding it manually is when you accidentally flushed
your routing table.
