[plug] Linux RH6.2 File Management

How do you share a folder of a Linux box for other nodes to see? I tried using the 
windows manager, Gnome, but I couldn't find the admin window. What are the commands to 
make a folder/file have a full access/read or write mode only?  I am more familiar 
with NT. And I am a newbie.
