Take Action

If you've always wanted to volunteer, but haven't taken that first step, now is
the time. Throughout 2001, 82 countries will participate in the United Nations
International Year of the Volunteer. UN Secretary General Kofi Annan launched
the IYV at an opening ceremony in New York on November 28.

The program's goal is to promote, recognize and facilitate volunteer
contributions worldwide. With 82 countries and the United Nations behind the
effort, there's never been a better time to get involved. And with Netaid.org's
Online Volunteer program, you can volunteer over the internet from your home or
office. Make a New Year's resolution that will help others around the world.
Get started today at http://app-netaid.netlojix.com/OV/index_html.

There are still dozens, if not hundreds, of volunteer vacancies open. Shouldn't
take too much of your time, as little as an hour a *week*. There's a place for
practically any skill, technical, financial, management, etc.

Mabuhay.
