no no no. no need to reinstall.

i just want you do:

1. make boot disk (windows or linux i do not care)
2. boot using that boot disk
3. run fdisk
4. remove bootable flag from the linux partition
5. place bootable flag on the windows partition

this should boot windows. i am assuming that lilo is not in the first
partition and that lilo is actually causing the problem.
