The problem is that after booting; the ownership of /dev/audio*; /dev/dsp*;
and /dev/mixer* become user#3.sys instead of root.audio (i have 3 normal
users in my linux box + root).
I have narrowed down the problem to aumix. Whenever I run aumix, it changes
the ownership and perms of the /dev/audio components. Even as root, when I
run aumix, it changes the ownership to user#3.sys. (in my /etc/alises user#3
is set to receive root's mail - may connection kaya dito?)
Bad trip 'tong aumix. Is there a better alternative? (of course there is,
this is linux we're talking about! :-> ) BTW Mandrake 7.0 ang flavor ko.
TIA.
