There was actually a discussion between Leo de Velez and Ron Rivest of
MIT.  Leo is a *math genius*, but he has not broken RSA.  He just came
up with a factoring method which can help in attacking *small* RSA
numbers.  But given the fact that RSA encryption uses large numbers as a
standard practice then.....  You know what I mean.  It is just so sad
that Leo actually told the reporter to hold off the press release until
confirmed, but I guess someone just got keyboard-happy so it made the
news without prior notice given to Leo.  It is a good thing that Leo
verified this himself and we (Filipinos) don't look so stupid claiming
something that is not true.  =)
