Socket 7 CPU fan:
When your processor fan is not working anymore the wholes system including
the system unit chassis gets hot. The same problem you'll encounter if the
power supply of the system unit is dead. So you don't need to open the
case, just touch and feel the system case if it's hot. To make sure, it's
better to open the case. Some made in China CPU fan are not reliable.
I'm also looking for a reliable CPU fan for socket 7 CPU.
