Hi. I am also researching on different hardware requirements for setting-up
an ISP. Can you give me the sites about ISP equipment?

Thanks.

Subject: [plug] additional info on ISP esp. satellite providers

hello everyone!

To date, we're finalizing everything for the setup of my dream-ISP (remember
Boss Migs?). And we're nailed down to 2 hardware companies, IBM and Sun
Microsystems.

We're almost done with the servers/hardware. What i am after now are the 2
very vital components i consider most.
        network devices (routers, switches, etc.)
        access/link providers

Can anyone name here some contacts of the best, satellite access providers
here, or even abroad.

And also, i know that there are certain rules of applications to follow in
acquiring access/bandwidth. Can someone share these stuffs?

I know that i have to consider a connection with a local TelCo. Initially, i
am considering satellite access for downstream.

And Yes, Migs, it'll be a Building Area Networks (BAN). and connecting
several building through fiber.

Thanks for the info.
