I have noted the heated discussions about Bluepoint's upcoming Linux
distribution. It is now apparent to us that Buhawi is not the first local
distribution. The error in the story is ours, not Bluepoint's. In fairness
to Engels and Bluepoint, they made no such claim to being the first local
distribution.
It would have been best for us to issue an erratum after hearing from
Engels, but as of this time, he has not answered my e-mail asking for
clarification, nor has he contacted us to correct our story.
In view of the number of attacks on Bluepoint, however, I felt it would be
best and fair to issue this statement now. I apologize for the error. An
erratum in the print edition will appear next week.
