Don't use Redhat 7.  It's buggy. Especially for development.  You don't
want to use redhat 7. The compilers a buggy beta, its a wonder it was able
to compile the actual distro, much less itself!!!

I don't think 200MB is doable.  More like thrice or four times that is a
good value.

Mandrake 7.2 is 2.4 ready, but you'ld have to pop in the kernel yourself
(or grab a kernel RPM).
