#That's a frame, nothing to do with Apache, and I don't like seeing sites
#like that - afraid to show their true URL? ;)

Now, that redirection is the subjects.. I have a question related to
this. I've been trying to figure out ways so I can minimize dynamic page
processing in web applications. I've done testings in the 1-2k
concurrent-user range using Mercury LoadRunner.. from the results,
pregeneration of static or mostly static often hit pages can get you from
200 concurrent users per box to close to 2k.

One thing I'm currently adding to the technique is smartly providing the
site frontdoor page. I figure there must be a way so Apache can detect if
a user is not yet logged-in to the web application (thru session
cookies).. where if none is available in GET/POST HTTP request, Apache
would give index.html.. but if a session cookie is available, it would
give out the dynamic page -- index.jsp,.php,etc.

Has anyone done this before? I think it can be done using mod_perl, and
Apache::cookie but one of my goals is to also minimize the resources in
the server box.. so having perl run just for the sole purpose of
redirection defeats the purpose of using pregenerated frontdoor page.

stay cool.
