hello all,
anyone know what happened to <subject>? there has been no update to gnu
pop3d since 1999! gnu pop3d is a very nice, fast, collection-pooling pop3
server. unfortunately it is missing some rather important functionality
(chiefly, UIDL support, without which Eudora, and gods know how many other
clients, won't function).
i have added UIDL and PostgreSQL authentication to the code, and i'm
working on Oracle authentication (via OCI8 -- not out of altruism, but
because it would be cool and kick *ss for Mozcom). i wanna fork this
code. I've already written the maintainer, but in case of no answer or a
"no, i don't like your code" what's the proper way of doing a fork?
cheers,
orly
