#solaris machine. However, I couldn't find its config file. I have found
#one smb.conf but it was empty. Do I really have to make a whole
#smb.conf, or is it located somewhere else? (SunOS 5.8 on Sparc, Samba
#2.0.7)
Did you install the binary version?
Yes, you typically have to create a new smb.conf file.. the binary
version of Samba for Solaris, by default, looks for the smb.conf file in
/usr/local/samba/lib .. Just create the file, and you should be good to
go.
stay cool.
