Is it possible to add new partitions to RAID0 without damaging the existing partition? I have made a successful RAID0 (/dev/md0, two HDs)) and wanted to add a new harddrive to the partition. So I edited /etc/raidtab, made nr-raid-disks to 3, added device /dev/sdc1 raid-disk 3 After raidstop /dev/md0, i tried mkraid /dev/md0 hoping /dev/sdc1 will be added to it. However: /dev/sda6 appears to be part of a raid array ... blah blah /dev/sda6 is of course part of the original /dev/md0 (with two HDs) I had no problems implementing this when using RAID1 or RAID5 (I can use raidhotadd or raidhotremove), but I'm stuck when using RAID0. Tips appreciated! TIA Sincerely, Froilan C. Mendoza Tridel Technologies, Inc. http://www.tridel.net _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
