There is no precise counterpart.  You can make a Linux box part of a
MS network neighborhood by using Samba, and you can also read native
Windows shares with that suite of programs as well.  Mind that it will
not be nearly as user-friendly as what you seem to have gotten used to
under Windows.

Have you considered subscribing to and posting questions like this to
the ph-linux-newbie list?  I think that it would be a more appropriate
forum for the kind of questions you've been asking.
