..afair i810 chipset was supported on 2.2.16/17 included in SuSE Linux 7.0. i remember
this is the default mainboard for IBM PCs (30-50 units) used in the Asia Pacific
College.
but if u really require full rework, 7.1 SuSE comes with 2.4.x and Xfree86 4.0.x...you
will have the same seamless detection on chipsets like 810, 820, 815 and 840 as
implemented in the lib routines.
