Same thing with me.  I had to shutdown the server which has been running for
342 days...(sob ... I was hoping to reach  it's first birthday..)...just
because the power of the building is going out for 2 days...

Anyway, since after configuring I never did reboot the server and I use a
SCSI driver....as a module.
This morning it didn't want to continue boot -- failed at fsck on the scsi
disk...turns out that it was trying to do fsck first before insmod --

Maybe your solution is just to insert the module so that the scsi/md can be
seen then manually mount all the file systems therein.
