Take a peek at phpgroupware in sourceforge. http://www.phpgroupware.org/

Though still very much underdevelopment but most parts are working. I'm
waiting for the "contact db" module which attempts to replace Outlook
altogether.

FEATURES
phpGroupWare has been designed to make it fairly simple to add new features
and applications.
The project has been split into two parts, the "phpGroupWare Project", which
is the core system, and the "phpGroupWare Applications Project", which is a
collection of add-on applications.

The "phpGroupWare Project" has the following features:

The phpgwAPI, which provides all applications with reuseable functions.
E-Mail (via IMAP or POP3)
Usenet Newsgroups (fully integrated into the email application)
Calendar (group support)
Todo Lists (group support)
File Manager
Translation Manager
The "phpGroupWare Applications Project" currently has the following
features:
Bookmark program (may be moved into core project when it becomes stable)
Trouble Ticket System
Chat
Forums
Headline news
FTP Client
Napster Client
Resource Booking System (for booking meeting rooms, projects etc.)
Human Resources Program
Inventory Program
Fax Integration
