Forgive cause this is not a Linux question but on Solaris. Anyaway, I try
to compile bind-9.1.2 on solaris machine and got this error

checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot
create executables.
