More for the benefit of the ppl on the newbie list: These are the steps I followed. Went to http://www.jabber.org and downloaded a copy of jabber 0.8.1 for rh 6.2 using web downloader for X. Anyway, got a static copy after the dynamic copy gave me headaches. Installed the rpm and ran gabber from the "Internet" submenu. Had a couple of config glitches but William helped me out. It seems that setting the priority to "6" is important. Basically, that's it. I'm currently trying to build 1.8.3 from srpm but got sidetracked by the dependencies. "William Emmanuel S.
