There are a heck of a lot of other possible vulnerabilities. Maybe he was
able to guess your root password. Maybe there's an as-yet undisclosed
vulnerability lurking on your system. Maybe some unauthorized person got
physical access to your machine. There are simply too many possibilities.
Never allow yourself to become overly complacent.
