True, true. The 'windows minded' solution of reinstalling the OS in order
to solve a problem is too simplistic. You've got to analyse why your box
was compromised, so that you can avoid the same problem the next time
around.
In fact, it's not enough to install fresh binaries from the distro cd.
You've got to install the package updates from the distro maker, because
these are the ones with the security fixes (and latest code).
