At yung iniwan nilang server eh Linux (mandrake 5.3 or 5.2) kaya pwersado akong mag-aral. They told me na kaya inilipat yung file server sa Linux eh dahil masydong nag-eenjoy yung NT Server sa REBOOT. Zero knowledge talaga ako sa Linux. Alam ko lang mag telnet, pine at wget (one year ago) :) > Who influenced you into using Linux, if any? Wala naman. Pero Linux for me has a certain charisma na wala ang Windoz. > Where did you first learn about Linux? >From eng'g friends. Pero yung pagkuha ko ng OS na subject yung book na ginamit namin is Minix. Nabanggit doon si Linus Torvalds na "ineextend" yung capability ng Minix. Meron din akong mga nakikitang article sa PCWorld (Phil) tungkol sa Linux. > How did you get your copy of Linux? Sa math. Yung una kong nahawakan eh RedHat 6.2. Pero nung nadownload yung Mandrake 7.1 nag palit na ako kasi mas madaming laman kesa sa Redhat. > When did you first hear about Linux? mga 1999 siguro > When did you actually use Linux for the first time? mga end ng 1999. wget at pine lang. Tapos konting explore sa X > When did you install Linux on your own 'puter? Ala akong own PC. > Why did you decide to try Linux out? Dahil its an alternative to the MS products. I usually like alternative stuffs (would prefer athlon to piii, staroffice to msoffice, etc). Tsaka i believe Linux is the next big thing. Ang hirap kasi pag may monopoly. Wala kang choice. > Why do you still use Linux? or Why do you no longer use Linux? I still have to learn many many things, it is still a challenge. And yes the stability, at hindi mahilig sa reboot. Sana nga lang yung mga malalaking companya ng gaming industry eh me mga port sa Linux. > What is your favorite thing about Linux? the costumizability, control, stability at value.
