Back in college I used to spend a lot of time on FurryMUCK, mostly
programming using their object-oriented language. I played Rogue and
Nethack to relieve stress. I also wrote a networked RPG (the client
looked like early Ultima series, using ncurses for the Linux version)
for Arnie del Rosario's OS class.

And Chris Chu just recently reminded me about crobots. 

I would love to see Everquest ported over to Linux. I don't get to play
it much because it means using the Win98 machine. But they bill me
anyway :(
