Alex:

Thanks for your reply and ongoing support on this.

The approach that we are taking will hopefully achieve the following
objectives: FIRST, provide the best possible service and protect the
interest of an existing client; SECOND, on a broader perspective, for
Optimization Algorithm applications, determine exactly what the Philippines
has to offer (by harnessing the collective strength of resources within the
Philippines, the expatriates, the OFWs, etc.); THIRD, identify if there is a
business case for putting a team together (initially composed of volunteers)
across national borders that will specialize in developing this niche
market; FOURTH, if such business case exists, take the necessary steps to
form a team that will spearhead several pilots; and, FIFTH, come up with a
sustainable and realistic strategy that will be implemented in a series of
"baby steps".

I would also like to think that this model is applicable to other niche
markets. Though there is nothing new or novel about this approach, the
following factors could differentiate this from other initiatives: FIRST,
the visible role of the expatriates and OFWs with their collective
international experience in building awareness, mobilizing resources and
opening markets; SECOND, the willingness and resolve of key participants
(residents of the Philippines, expatriates and OFWs) in working together
towards a common set of goals; and, THIRD, the pivotal role of e-commerce
technologies in making this collaboration possible, allowing serious
participants to transcend geographical, cultural and time zone boundaries.

With our collective effort and with the right people, I believe that we will
overcome. To this end, I am extremely grateful that you are tapping your
contacts to make this happen. On our part and in a separate announcement,
next month we are planning to conduct at least 4 sessions in the
Philippines: Optimization Algorithm Project; Linux Project; IT and EC
Outsourcing for the Academic community; and, IT_INTL briefing on Outsourcing
projects. Norelyn Barbiera is spearheading the planning and logistics of
these sessions.

Let us continue working together. Your ongoing support is much appreciated.

Cordially,

David Paraiso
