First, I hope you are using a newer more secure version of bind. The answer
to your question is to restart your named after succesfully dialing in.
This is what is in my /etc/ppp/ip-up.local
#!/bin/bash
#Restart named
#the contents of /etc/jmc.resolve is: nameserver 127.0.0.1
cp /etc/jmc.resolve /etc/resolv.conf;
/usr/sbin/ndc restart;
