Good point, BUT what if ?? Its S.O.P. nowadays to build

Au contraire, If you are using CISCO routers, depending on your IOS version, supports
SSH. Support for Secure Shell (version 1) was added to Cisco IOS Release 12.1(1) T,
for the 1700, 2600, 3600, 7200, 7500 and ubr920 series routers. But its limitations
are that the SSH implementation currently uses only user/password authentication,
which can be done via TACACS+ or RADIUS. It supports DES and 3DES encryption. I don't
know if it has improve on 12.2 Secure Shell client support was also added in Cisco IOS
Release 12.1(3) T. This allows for outbound SSH client connections.
